Marloes Sands (National Trust) is considered one of the best beaches in Wales – a mile-long stretch of golden sand interspersed with rocky outcrops and backed by 200-ft high cliffs of great geological interest. It is 3 km. to walk from the house, or has a National Trust car-park 1 km. walk from the beach. (See photo on Home page)

Musselwick Sands is a good swimming beach accessed at low tide by rather slippery (but not high up) steps. The nearest beach to the village, it is less than 2 km. from the house.

St.Bride’s Beach is a small, safe rocky cove with sand at low tide – good for swimming and snorkelling. Small car-park and toilets right next to the beach. It is 5 minutes drive or bus from the house or about 3 km. walk through the fields.

Broadhaven and Littlehaven beaches are long and sandy and joined at low-tide. Shops, cafes, pubs, toilets and car-parks. Wet-suit, kayak, surfboard and windsurf hire at Broadhaven. About 15 mins by car or bus.

Dale beach is mainly pebbles, some sand, with a grassy top. Car-park, toilets, pub, cafe and yacht club. Good for paddling (shallow) and watersports. Boats, kayaks, windsurfers and wetsuits for hire. It is about 5 minutes from the house by car or bus.

More information about these and other beaches, with tide-tables, a bus timetable and a map, are available at the house.
